Trust & Security
Ovaro holds your business records, customer details and tax figures. Here is the plain-English version of how we look after them — and what we promise we will never do.
Where your data lives
All customer data is stored in the United Kingdom and European Economic Area on managed Google Cloud infrastructure. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256). We do not sell, rent or share your data with advertisers, ever.
Who can see your records
Only you, and any accountant you explicitly invite from inside the app. Our support team can only access your account with your written permission, and every access is logged. We do not browse customer accounts for product research.
Tax figures are estimates — not tax advice
Every tax figure inside Ovaro (Income Tax, Corporation Tax, VAT, National Insurance, the "set aside" pot) is a guide based on the records you have entered, using current published HMRC rates. Ovaro is a software tool, not a regulated tax adviser or accountant. We will never submit anything to HMRC on your behalf without an explicit, per-submission confirmation from you.
If you are unsure about your tax position, speak to a chartered accountant or tax adviser. Use Ovaro to keep your records ready for them.
Payments and subscriptions
Card payments for your Ovaro subscription and customer payments to you are processed by Stripe, an FCA-regulated payment institution. Ovaro never sees or stores your card number.
Your data, on demand
You can export your invoices, expenses and customer records at any time from Settings. If you decide to leave, you can permanently delete your account and all associated records from Settings → Account → Delete account. Deletion is irreversible and propagates to backups within 30 days.
Compliance
Invoice Ovaro Ltd is registered in England & Wales (Co. No. 15979982) and registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO No. CSN5477810). We operate in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Our invoicing tooling is designed in line with HMRC's Making Tax Digital programme.
